Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. We start with an initial consult and movement assessment so we’re not guessing. Assessment precedes programming.
-
First is the consult (information gathering). We’ll review your health history, talk through any current or previous injuries/pain, learn about your lifestyle, and set clear goals.
Then we move into the assessment. We start with a length–tension assessment (first rib angle, thoracic and lumbar curves, forward head posture, and pelvic tilt), followed by a plumbline assessment. From there we do an abdominal function assessment, and then the movement assessment.
-
Often, yes. The goal is to train in a way that reduces irritation and builds capacity. If something sounds like a medical red flag, we’ll tell you to get medical evaluation first.
-
Those can help, especially short-term. Our focus is long-term: figure out the driver, then build strength, control, and tolerance so you’re not stuck in the flare-up cycle.
-
It means we don’t pick exercises because they’re trendy. We choose them based on what your body is showing us: posture, breathing mechanics, joint motion, control, and the pattern that’s driving your symptoms.
-
Usually:
A quick check-in (what changed since last time)
Targeted warm-up / mobility (specific to you)
Strength work (progressive, pain-aware)
A simple plan for what to do between sessions
-
Most people do best with 1–3 sessions/week depending on goals, schedule, and how reactive things are. We’ll recommend a starting cadence after the assessment.
-
These are some of the most common reasons people come in. We don’t diagnose online — but we do assess patterns and build a plan that matches what’s driving it.
-
Yes. A lot of our clients are 40–60+ and want strength and confidence without beating themselves up.
-
